Hi, I'm new to the forums but a long time Dungeon Keeper fan - been hooked ever since I played the demo on the PC Games Magazine Disc back in 1997 (It was also the Demo of the Month)! And yes, I still have the original disc which includes a level which was never in the final release!
Personally I feel that Dungeon Keeper Online (it's proper translation is "Dungeon Keeper World" by the way) has a lot of potential. It seems many people might disagree but I like the idea of controlling a specific creature to raid and pillage the lands above ground while there is still the whole dungeon being built and mined out below ground, especially if you can switch between the two modes at will. Summoning other creatures from your dungeon to help your battles above ground also seems like a cool idea. I also don't know why everyone is complaining about the art style, to me it seems they are following Peter Molyneux's style very closely but not so closely as to be an exact carbon copy. Who would want to play something that's exactly the same as it's predecessor? It would make the whole idea of creating a sequel pointless. Besides, DK2 made many visual changes as well to the creatures but people still enjoy that game. Also, the Horned Reaper does not look THAT different, in fact it looks more like a merging of Horny and the Bile Demon now. (I always liked the Bile Demons)
As far as the WoW comparisons of all the creatures concept art images, just remember Dungeon Keeper also HAD VAMPIRES, THIEVES, DWARVES, DEMON SPAWN, WIZARDS/WARLOCKS, and DRAGONS. Maybe your problem is you played TOO MUCH Warcraft and see similarities that a normal person would call coincidence. Also, there is nothing wrong with adding new creatures to the mix. You will still have many of the old favorites as shown in the concept art (including Dark Mistress, Bile Demon, Ghost, Imp, Troll, Goblin, Vampire, Dragon, and others.
The humor element (though not show in the Trailer) will most likely be present, as it is often mentioned in many of the Chinese sites. All I'm saying is you really can't judge this game yet just based upon a Teaser trailer especially since it is still going through beta testing right now. If you PLAY it, and you don't like it, fine, but right now it's a little too early to tell. I for one am glad the DK Series has been resurrected, even if it will be undergoing some changes.
Also here is another image I found of Dungeon Keeper World. This one is not currently on the site!

How could they miss Dungeon Keeper's slogan, "It's good, to be bad"? >.>
I'm sorry, must be my pervertedness, but I loled when I saw that pic. I mean the position of that open mouth with the eye-looking thing there is just priceless XD
Also, don't double post. There's an edit butten there for a reason ;P

That Dark Mistress...
Looks quite epic, she seems to have a more "wild" feel to her.
I quite like the look of this game, I kinda wish it wasn't online though, I like playing games by myself. Oh well, I'll definitely try it out anyway if it comes out to the rest of the world.![]()
